Today I came across a Substack account that I immediately subscribed to and followed.
Know why?
The owner commented on one of my notes and told me what she does and that instantly intrigued me and made me want to subscribe to the account without thinking twice.
Do you know what that is called?
Marketing!
If you don’t market what you do and promote your work, no one will know that you exist. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and share what you do. If you promote your work to ten people each day and only one person subscribes then you gain one subscriber per day. In one year you will have 365 subscribers.

If you read this far. Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your love and support. Leave a comment so that I can support you back.
Fantastic example—it's spot on! This is precisely why we (ecairn) focus on mapping audiences and influencers on Substack. By doing so, you can streamline your efforts to pinpoint the exact people you need to engage with and market to. Having a clear target in mind is essential; while serendipity is nice, it doesn't allow for reliable or scalable growth.
